Fave Recipes

I love to cook. It's one of the greatest things in the world. How else would you be able to combine a bunch of ingredients and have something delicious come out? Or maybe not... you might just end up setting your kitchen on fire. Either way, you can have fun with these recipes. Oh, and if you have one that is just fabulous (You know the kind, the one that people always ask you "Did you make that? It's great!!"), share it with me!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Ok, it doesn't take as long to make this treat as it does to say it. Honest.

1/2 cup crushed ice
3/4 cup milk
2 + 1/2 tbsp. peanut butter
1 + 1/4 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/4 cup Splenda Sweetener
1 whole frozen banana

Put all ingredients together in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup!

Starbuck's Frappachino
Personally, I hate these things. My Mom likes them though, and so do my friends, who drink them alot. So gross!

3/4 cup double-strength coffee
1/2 cup crushed ice
1/4 tsp. cocoa powder
3 level tbsp. Splenda Sweetener
1 cup lowfat milk
Whipped Cream (optional)
Semi-sweet chocolate shavings (optional)

Combine coffee, ice, cocoa powder, Splenda, and milk in a blender. Blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Onion Dip
This is really good on breads, crackers, and pretty much anything else that you can think of.

1 cup mayonaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup chopped onion

Combine all ingredients and mix with a fork. Place in microwave for 2:30 minutes, and serve.

Well, that's all for now. More recipes might follow these, depending on which ones I find are popular. Also, http://www.foodnetwork.com has some great recipes. Happy eating!!!

Stupid Baseball Players

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I'm not going insane... yet. However, one of the Atlanta Braves best relieving pitchers left for some other team! I forget which one. Good grief!!! How could you leave the best MLB team in country? No, make that, THE WORLD?!

Ron Mahay will get no support from me in his future career. And when he plays Atlanta, may God have mercy on his soul... dun dun dun DUH!

Go Braves.

NFL Pictures- Week 16

I've got photos from NFL's Week 16. Check 'em out!

Ben Roethlisburger- He bugs me to no end. I'm not sure why. Of course, any dude who rides a motorcycle without a helmet is a lunatic, especially when you're a role model for kids.

Adrian Peterson- He's amazing isn't he? Not that I'm a Bear's fan... I believe a certain team from Indianapolis won a Superbowl against this team.

Jacksonville- I don't like Jacksonville very much, but I couldn't resist this team picture. It's so cool!

Matt Moore- I think he's going to be the one who will help get the Panthers back on track. I really like this kid.

Eli Manning- What a game! If he would possibly beat the Patriots next week, I would be the happiest girl in the U.S.A. Don't think it's happening though.

Brett Favre- I couldn't believe this game! It was the worst game that I had seen Green Bay play all season long! Hopefully they can rebound next week and win the last one.

Brian Westbrook- I thought that this picture was really cool. Full of action. Also, I just wanted to see the Saints lose.

Kurt Warner- You don't get many shots like this one. You know, before the game, when the players are focused on the task before them- pounding their opponets' faces into the dirt. Or snow, depending on where you're playing.

Marion Barber- My first Dallas picture of the day, and it's of the Cowboy's best runner. He's going to be great, just like his dad.

Terrell Owens- I can't believe that I used to not be a fan of his! I think that he has made some big steps in the right direction since coming to Dallas, for the benefit of himself, his teammates, and football fans.

Terrell Owens- He loves the camera! When I get to be a sports journalist, I'm going to get a picture with him.

Bob Sanders- I think that he is one of the most under-rated players on the Colts' team. How about this pick?

Bryan Fletcher- This one looked like it HURT! Ouch!

Dallas Clark- He got chased out of bounds on this punt return, but he put together another solid game.
Well, that's all from Week 16. We wrap up the season next weekend! Can't wait!

Good Grief!

Is it just me, or does Christmas Day get shorter every year? It's like, you wake up, open your presents, eat, watch movies, and then go to bed. You wake up the next day and you think, "Wow. That was fast."

I hope y'all (It's a word down here, more about that later) enjoyed your holidays. I know I sure did. Among my favorite presents are my iHome. Also, I got a bunch of Simon Gift Cards (like a pre-paid credit card, can be used anywhere VISA is accepted.) I also got quite a few Aeropostale clothes (sweaters, jeans, pants, and sleepwear.) I got a pair of South Carolina flip-flops (in the color scheme of our flag, navy and white.) And among the best remains my Atlanta Braves hat and keychain. My Mom got me an Atlanta Braves housekey too... weird, but awesome!!!

I'm psyched about my ski trip. I just have to find a few more things; boots, gloves, and goggles. We can only take two small suitcases, which is bad, if you're a girl. And no iPod. I never, and I repeat, NEVER, have gone more then two days without Switchfoot. AHHHHH!

I'm also kind of nervous. I let LWCC's Children's Minister talk me into actually SKIING! (Did I spell that right?) I've never skied before, and we don't get a crash course in what to do, or what NOT to do... creepy, right? However, I'll have fun; and I'm going to teach myself to ski, even if if kills me. Hopefully that won't happen. I would miss the Superbowl for pete's sake.

AND, Eli Manning leads the Giants into Week 16 with an exciting playoff berth. What a game on Sunday! That might be the reason that I have absolutely no nails on my fingers. I've already prepared myself for the Colts not winning the Superbowl, as they will have to play NE in the playoffs. I think with their earlier NE loss, they will be shaken up. Our best WR, Marvin Harrison is still out, and I don't think that he will play in the first post-season game.

However, Dallas is making me extremely happy. Home-turf advantage for all playoff games- how great is that?! If TO and Romo stay healthy, I think that they might win the Superbowl. Of course, there's always New England. It seems that they are in the playoffs every year! Am I the only person who just despises Tom Brady, and Bill Belicheck for that matter?!

For those of you who are wondering why I hate NE so much, I don't really have an answer for you. It's just always been a rule in our house that you don't cheer for NE or the Steelers. Why? I'm not sure. I've just made up my own reasons not to like them. They have a cheater for a coach, and I've been hilariously laughing at all of the NFL announcers suddenly making fun of Bill Belicheck's attitude, and his outfits. Also, Tom Brady is the worst loser I have ever seen. When he makes a bad pass, or a call doesn't go his way, he walks off of the field and pouts. I think that he sort of looks like a two-year-old in time-out. And third, all of the announcers seem to LOVE the Pats. I hate any team that gets talked about all the time. Except Dallas, of course.

That's all for now! L8r y'all!

Merry CHRISTmas!

Two days until Christmas... wow. Where has the year gone? 2007 has been great. I've had so many good experiences this year, and met some great people. Also, I'm celebrating the end of 2007 with my friends... in West Virginia! I'm topping of the year with a ski trip to WV. How cool is that?!

I've been out of town for the past 5 days, which is why I wasn't blogging (that's the weirdest word...). I misses MNF, and most of Sunday's games. However, I went to visit my friends and family in York, PA; which is where I used to live. I even saw snow! You know, its this white stuff that falls out of the sky, and if enough of it collects, you get to play in it? (Sorry, but I don't get snow where I live... ahhhh!)

I'm so ready for Christmas! Spending it with my family, eating Christmas dinner (which, except for the ham, is pretty good), and reflecting on why we actually celebrate this holiday are some of the highlights. Oh, and the presents are a bonus...

Merry CHRISTmas to everyone, and a Happy New Year. Pray that I don't die plunging down a hill on skis...

NFL Pictures- Week 15

NFL Pictures from Sunday's Games (12/09/07)

LaDainian Tomlinson- Last Year's Rookie Sensation. What's wrong this year?

Eli Manning- When this QB figures out how to gain some consistency, he is definately going to emerge from big bro's shadow and become a great quarterback.

Tom Brady- Now, am I the only one who wishes that he would get sacked, and just have a season-ending injury? Can't stand him. And has anyone else noticed the way that he pouts if something doesn't go his way? lol

Ben Roethlisburger- I can't believe that of all days, he picked yesterday to not bring his A-game. AHHHH! football players.

Brett Favre- Greatest QB of all time. I hope he retires after this year, going out with his best season, of late. Sweet...

Will Blackmon- He must love the publicity... he only sought out the mosh pot 3 times...

Tony Romo- Dallas' star QB. He will be up there with Peyton and ... cough... Brady, next year. I think Wade Phillips finally found a QB that can work with T.O. Amazing, isn't it?

Terrell Owens- The Cowboys' best WR. Can't believe the Eagles let him go. I'm sure glad they did. He's having an amazing season. Why else would you have a 4-touchdown day? How cool is that?

Marion Barber- The son of Tiki Barber must have the football gene. He's got to.

Peyton Manning- How great is HE? A blowout over the Ravens last night, among all of the adversity. In your face Baltimore! hahaha

Dallas Clark- I am LOVIN' him on offense. Future Indianapolis star.

Joseph Addai and Reggie Wayne- By far, my favorite picture this week. Our best runner, and our best WR right now. Hopefully I'll have a pic. of Marvin Harrison soon.
Hope ya'll enjoyed them!
GO INDY!

About Me ; )

Ok, I have finally figured out this whole blogging thing, so I decided to let you all know who I am.

I'm a fifteen-year-old blonde. I live in SC and love it here. I play softball, and played soccer for 10 years (I was really good.) I hate anything mathematical, but love language. I'm taking Spanish. I am homeschooled, and am really smart... no, really, I am. For college (yes. college), I think that I want to do something with Sports Management. Sports Journalism is included in that, so I could def. go somewhere with that type of career. I'm also taking a Computer Applications class, and since I started, I am thinking about Computer Science for a major. Tons of possibilities there too...

I love music. I like Christian
rock. My favorite rock artists are Switchfoot, and Audio Adrenaline. The Newsboys are pretty good too.

I'm an avid sports fan. I watch them all the time. My favorite show? ESPN Sportscenter, of course. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but the teams up there are public enemies (a.k.a. the New England Patriots, Pittsburg Steelers, and the Philadelphia Eagles). I'm a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan, Indianapolis Colts fan, and I watch the New York Giants.

1. I love the history that Dallas has, and this whole Romo/Owens combination ROCKS!
2.The Colts were the 2006 NFL Superbowl Champs, and they really have a solid team all-around; where their arch-rivals (the Patriots) have 2 players on the whole team who actually matter: QB Tom Brady (Tweedle Dumb) and WR Randy Moss (Tweedle Dumber).
3. And I like the NY Giants because I think that Eli Manning has tons of potential, and that he will come out of big bro's shadow someday; so I'm kind of watching one of tomorrow's stars develop.

Love baseball. I'm the biggest Atlanta Braves fan. Name a player, I can name the position, stats, average, all of that stuff. I watched them fall 2 seasons in a row, but next year is def. going to be better. Our starting rotation will be awesome, because we got Tom Glavine back. Also, if Mike Hampton stays healthy, we can fill up the last spot in our rotation with our younger pitchers. Our bullpen looks good if Mike Gonzalez's elbow heals right, so between him, closer Rafael Soriano, Tyler Yates, Jeff Bennet, and JoJo Reyes; we are set for pitching.

1. My center-fielder went to the Dodgers, so I don't know who replaces him yet, but we'll see. If it's anything like the midseason trade that gave us 1st baseman Mark Texiera, we're set. Shortstop Yunel Escobar is amazing, replacing our all-star Edgar Renteria. If 3rd baseman Chipper Jones stays healthy all season (like thats possible, he's accident prone), we will have a good batting order with our lead-offs and middle guys. We just have to fill the lower-order spots with consistent hitters (not guys who knock balls out all the time, but give us the extra-base hits and RBIs.)
2. I like the Red Sox, but I don't follow them. I just have to have an American League team and a National League team, and as far as I'm concerned, I've picked the best in both leagues. lol

Ok, almost done...

NASCAR is another sport that I watch. Yes, it is a sport, for all of you idiots out there who don't think so. Roush Racing driver Carl Edwards (#99 Office Depot Roush-Fenway Racing Ford Fusion) is my favorite driver, and I also like Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin (#11 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS). My biggest enemies: Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Tony Stewart. Dale Earnhardt Jr. took a lot of crap this season, but next year at Hendrick Motorsports, he will win a championship.

Ok, so that's all for now. I can't feel my hands anymore, I've been typing too long. TTYL.

P.S.- Be sure to leave a comment. I read them every day. Also, if you do leave a comment, let me know the name of your blog, and I'll check it out!
